Cementing the Legacy of New Jersey’s Capital Theatre
Brishen ushered in an era that cemented the legacy of Passage Theatre Company as an arts anchor in Trenton and the greater New Jersey region. Passage Theatre is the only professional theatre in the capital city of Trenton, now entering it’s 39th season.
A Fancy Beginning
An independent upstart theater in Kalamazoo, MI, Brishen joined Fancy Pants immediately after the company was founded and helped guide an era of edgy social-satire from 2010-2014 that bucked the norms of the local culture. Although a small town, Kalamazoo boasts a rich arts scene with 12 producing theaters in that era. Check out Brishen’s humble beginnings as a managing ensemble member of Fancy Pants Theater
A Gentleman and a Scholar
Brishen is a lifelong student and educator of theatre. Connecting with communities and educating the public is integral to his vision. Brishen received his first MA in Education Leadership and has developed theatre curriculum and conducted field research at each stop on his journey.
